A pair of school shoes may seem like a small thing, but for many children it means confidence, dignity and the opportunity to attend school with pride.
The Snymans Caterpillar Foundation (SCF), proudly supported by Snymans Inc, is excited to launch Walking the Future, our 2026/2027 School Shoe Drive. This campaign aims to provide quality school shoes to children in need before the start of the 2027 school year.
Why School Shoes?
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn without unnecessary barriers. For many families, purchasing school shoes is simply out of reach.
Through Walking the Future, we hope to change that, one pair at a time.
Our school shoes are supplied by My Walk Made with Soul, a remarkable South African initiative that transforms uncontaminated IV drip bags, oxygen masks and medical tubing into durable, recyclable school shoes. Supported by Netcare and Adcock Ingram Critical Care, this innovative process gives medical waste a second life while giving children a brighter future.

How You Can Help
There are two simple ways to support the campaign:
Purchase Raffle Tickets
Purchase 10 raffle tickets for R50, the cost of one pair of school shoes, and you'll automatically be entered into our prize draw.
Every R50 raised sponsors one pair of school shoes for a child in need.
Make a Donation
If you would prefer to make a direct donation towards the campaign, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.
Donations of any amount will help us purchase additional school shoes and extend the reach of the campaign.

Prize
A luxury self-catering weekend at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve for up to 10 guests.
The accommodation offers the perfect bushveld escape with wildlife, nature experiences and access to the reserve's facilities.
Travel costs are not included.

Prize Terms and Conditions
• Entry into the prize draw is obtained by purchasing a minimum of 10 raffle tickets (R50).
• Each R50 purchase qualifies for one prize draw entry.
• Participants may purchase multiple sets of raffle tickets to receive additional entries.
• The competition is open to persons 18 years and older.
• The prize consists of a luxury self-catering weekend at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve for up to 10 guests.
• Travel costs and any expenses not specifically included in the prize are for the winner's own account.
• The prize is not transferable, may not be exchanged for cash, and may not be substituted for any other prize.
• The winner must form part of the group attending the weekend.
• Accommodation is subject to availability and the booking requirements of the accommodation provider.
• The winner will be selected by random draw on 12 February 2027.
• The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• By entering the competition, participants consent to their name being announced should they win.
• Proceeds from the raffle will be used exclusively to purchase school shoes for children supported through the Walking the Future campaign.
