July was another meaningful month in our Snymans 30-for-30 campaign, and this time we focused on something as simple, and as essential, as food.
Under the banner of the Snymans Caterpillar Foundation, our teams across the country rolled up their sleeves and brought their CAN-do attitudes to life. The result? An incredible 912 canned food items collected and distributed to support families, children, and the elderly across a range of local organisations.
We’re proud to share how each office contributed to this heart-driven initiative:
🥫 Cape Town | Cans and Connection
The Cape Town team revisited a place close to our hearts: The Jones Safe House in Kommetjie. After a special visit there during Youth Month, the team returned in July, this time with canned food in hand.
The Jones family continues to provide care and safety to vulnerable children and mothers, and this donation offered a small way to support their mission of love and healing.
🥫 Swellendam | A CAN-tagious Effort
Swellendam collected a generous mix of donations:
- 170 cans
- 2 boxes of milk
- 2 packs of oats
- 2 boxes of Cup-a-Soup
- 2 soup packs
These items were shared between Buffeltjies Dagsorgsentrum in Buffeljags and several soup kitchens in Railton. In addition, the team donated books and toys collected during June’s Youth Month drive to both Buffeltjies Dagsorgsentrum and other community partners.
We are especially grateful to our community supporters:
Rawson Properties Cape Agulhas, OWN Real Estate, PNA Swellendam, Yolande Scheepers, Vera Gildenhuys, and Carol De Bruin, plus five incredible young donors who gave their pocket money to the drive!
🥫 Ruimsig | 260 Reasons to Smile
The Ruimsig office collected 260 cans in July, which were donated to:
- Little Munsies Crèche in Munsieville, Krugersdorp, which supports early childhood nutrition
- Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre in Randfontein, a Christian-based non-profit providing for elderly community members in need
These donations helped feed both the youngest and eldest members of our community.
🥫 Hermanus | Standing Together
The Hermanus team collected a total of 306 cans, which were distributed among:
- Hermanus Staan Saam
- Nuwerus Aftercare
- Napier
- The Pebbles Project
They also extended their Youth Month impact by sharing books and toys collected in June with Nuwerus Aftercare and Pebbles Project, helping to support educational and emotional well-being.
🥫 Bryanston | Purpose in Every Can
Bryanston chose to donate their collection to People4Purpose, a Randburg-based organisation focused on providing food and clothing to individuals and families experiencing crisis.
This partnership reflects a shared vision: that no one should go without the basics, and that meaningful support often starts with a meal.
A Shared Impact, A Shared Heart
Through the collective efforts of our teams and communities, July’s 30-for-30 campaign not only stocked shelves but strengthened connections.
The Snymans Caterpillar Foundation exists to support meaningful transformation, and this month’s drive is proof that small, consistent acts of care can ripple outward in big ways.
To everyone who gave, thank you. You are helping us build communities that care.
